NURSES' TALES

***

Occasionally I am sent, or come across, information about individual nurses which I feel will be of interest to others.  Although my intention is not to produce individual biographies for a great many women, I hope that those included here will prove interesting, and add to the available information of nurses' service during the Great War.  In addition, I'm now adding a series of personal accounts by members of Queen Alexandra's Imperial Military Nursing Service, and the Territorial Force Nursing Service.  They were originally written at the request of the Matron-in-Chief, War Office, and a selection were published in 1922 by John Bale, Sons & Danielsson Ltd under the title 'Reminiscent Sketches 1914-1919'.
